In 2018, Dr. Jaqueline Isquierdo graduated Cum Laude from Arizona’s Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an Emphasis in Pre-Medicine as a first-generation college student. Originally from central California she journeyed to the Windy City to earn her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Illinois College of Optometry in May 2023.
In Los Angeles she worked alongside ophthalmologists to manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. In San Diego she focused heavily in vision therapy performing techniques with patients who have ocular motor deficits, ocular misalignments, traumatic brain injuries, and amblyopia. During her schooling she completed research on the rise of myopia and methods to manage it amongst school aged children. She then completed an externship at Accent Vision Specialists Fall of 2022. Enamored by the beauty of Santa Fe, she returned to begin her journey in Optometry.
